San Francisco – Work and Fun

San Francisco – Work and Fun

Last Monday I flew out to San Francisco for the Atlassian Summit 2015.  It’s a gathering of nerds who love and use Atlassian’s products.  If you work in software development you’ve likely heard of it…if not, you likely have not.  It is a fantastic family of products!  http://atlassian.com

The conference featured keynotes and learning sessions as well as a really fun party at the Exploratorium along the Embarcadero area along the bay.

On Friday we moved to an AirBnB for the weekend.  It was in the Forest Hill area and was fantastic! The view was excellent and the area was really nice…and quiet. Friday included some touristy fun and a great dinner.  Saturday morning started out slowly with a nice breakfast at the BnB, then went downtown, Coit Tower, the touristy Piers, Painted Ladies, Baker Beach, Golden Gate Bridge, and Pizza Orgasmica.  After some delicious pizza we cleaned up and went to The Fillmore to see Leon Bridges perform.  It was such a great show!  After the show we met up with a good friend from Phoenix who now lives there.

Sunday started out with a nice late sleep, then breakfast, then headed downtown for some trolley car fun, more touristy action and some great coffee…then it was time for an Uber ride to the airport and back home.
