Sarcasm and fun

I am not a fan of sarcasm because beneath the sarcasm there is usually something that is not so nice.  If you have a problem with something or someone just say what it is and figure out how to fix it.

I experienced first hand how the Republican party supports our troops – they don’t and then how the Democrats did and likely still do.  Look at the budgets for the ongoing wars that President Bush and company started, they have not decreased.

Look at the numbers:  http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/apr/13/keith-olbermann/olbermann-right-about-base-defense-spending/

If you don’t like the source, do a google search.

We have the right saying the current administration is not supporting defense or our troops, but the numbers show otherwise. This was the same when President Clinton came into office which was during my military service, we actually had money to train and do our jobs.

I think this is why President Obama is losing so many supporters, they thought he would somehow magically stop the wars, end poverty, create a bright future where everyone lived in harmony. Not very likely.

Many peoples rants sound more like those famous radio/tv idiots who don’t use facts, but only inflammatory statements to get people angry when we should be pulling together to work through differences and difficulties to create a better future.  Yes, that is my left leaning, liberalism showing.  I do have hope that we can be a better people.

We all have the right to say whatever we want to say, but is it always worth it?

Remember the saying, “If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all”?  Perhaps we should all practice this a bit more.
